Issue: Creating a New Roster Category for EL Players Playing Outside of the NHLThis poll will remain active for 1 week from the time it is posted.
A ' YES' vote means Three new roster spots will be created. Only EL Players with $0 salary will be eligible for these spots. Players can only be assigned to these spots during the off-season and will remain there for exactly two years. A player in one of these roster spots can not be moved to the MINOR or MAJOR rosters, can not be traded, and cannot be EL Released. While being on "hold", their EL Player salary can still trigger if they hit their Minimum Games quota. It would advance up the EL Player salary ladder as normal, and would count towards a teams payroll, despite the player being unavailable for use in the DHL. Expected Effects - This will give more time for prospects who are developing slower than expected.
- This will be especially relevant for goalie prospects.
- This adds an extra level of complexity to the EL Player system.
- May keep borderline prospects out of the Free Agent pool.
A ' No' vote means No change to the number of roster spots

With an 7-5 vote against, the rules will remain status quo. The number of roster slots with remain the same as before, with no special exceptions for EL Players.
