I really don't want to prolong last season and I really don't want to manage two teams for that long. I honestly think the first two rounds should be a week each and the final two. Maybe you could argue make each round 2 weeks but that is plenty. I rather get it over with and move on to this season. Many of my players have moved on to other teams and some players (like Mike Smith) don't have a team. It'll be confusing enough. There's a lot of truth to what Simi Valley has to say here, and I've taken it into consideration. However, I think doing our normal playoff schedule is too much of a risk, especially with a shortened opening week and weighing the fact that we aren't under any real time crunch here. So, rather than going month-long match-ups, or single-weeks, I think I've found a happy medium as follows: Round 1: Wed Jan 13 - Sun Jan 31 #3 (Nebraska) vs #6 (Morweena) #4 (Oslo) vs #5 (Haukiputaan) Round 2: Mon Feb 1 - Sun Feb 14 #1 (Simi Valley) vs Lowest Remaining Seed #2 (Moscow) vs Highest Remaining Seed Round 3: Mon Feb 15 - Sun Feb 28 Highest Remaining Seed vs Lowest Remaining Seed Each match-up runs 14 days, aside from Round 1, which is rounded up to 19 days because of the mid-week start of the season's debut. This way, our first round is composed of January games, and then the month of February is divided in half, with Round 2 to start the month, and our championship round making up the latter half. From March onwards, we'll be full focus on the official season. Now that FanTrax has implemented the NHL's schedule, I've went and made the playoff-only secondary league page. If you're one of the 6 playoff teams, please visit here sometime soon and make sure you're able to adjust your lines and such, so we don't run into any issues last minute. Thanks. www.fantrax.com/fantasy/league/p3u5qs59kjm4yxwv/home

This is beautiful thank you Adam.
Good luck to all teams (excluding any team I am against) in their quest for last year's glory. May the best team from Morweena win.

Follow up questions:
Will we have have only 3 moves per matchup, or will the extended time per match add to that total?
Are we doing full roster reset as we see fit as each round begins still? I *think* we had decided that was a go for the playoffs that should have already happened.
Would you like our opening rosters due at the same time as the ones for this season, or sooner to aid with the clarical work on your end?

Follow up questions: Will we have have only 3 moves per matchup, or will the extended time per match add to that total? My opinion would be this: Round 1 - 8 total transactions to be used as they see fit throughout the match-up Round 2 - 6 total transactions to be used as they see fit throughout the match-up Round 3 - 6 total transactions to be used as they see fit throughout the match-up Are we doing full roster reset as we see fit as each round begins still? I *think* we had decided that was a go for the playoffs that should have already happened. Would you like our opening rosters due at the same time as the ones for this season, or sooner to aid with the clarical work on your end? We will be doing what was decided upon here: dynastyhockey99.proboards.com/post/24640/threadAll playoff teams can fully reset their rosters at the start of their playoffs - Standard Playoff Teams before Round 1 - Division Winners before Round 2 Our belated playoffs start Wednesday January 13th. Seeds 3, 4, 5 and 6 must submit their Playoff Roster (similar to what we do for starting lineups at the beginning of the regular season) ahead of puck drop on the earliest game of the day (5:30pmET between Pens/Flyers). Rosters can be posted on a team's board in a new thread, messaged to the commissioner, or just set on FanTrax (whatever your team is set at by the deadline, is your starting playoff roster). Seeds 1 and 2 (the Division Winners), are under the same requirement, but for the start of Round 2 (Mon Feb 1st). This is because of the BYE week.

Corey Crawford retired - am I stuck with him? Am I able to sign a new goalie?

Corey Crawford retired - am I stuck with him? Am I able to sign a new goalie? You have everyone who was on your roster at the end of last season at your disposal. No one else can be added at this point.

Everyone involved in this playoff league should make sure they have accessed and are able to control their team over on the secondary FanTrax page ahead of games tomorrow.
I don't want anyone running into difficulties at the last minute!

On Mon Feb 1st, Seeds #1 and #2 must submit their Playoff Roster (similar to what we do for starting lineups at the beginning of the regular season) ahead of puck drop on the earliest game of the day (Four games start at 7:00pmET). Rosters can be posted on a team's board in a new thread, messaged to the commissioner, or just set on FanTrax (whatever your team is set at by the deadline, is your starting playoff roster).

Now that it looks like the dust has settled on the last game of the match-ups...
In Round 2 of the 2019 Wuest Memorial Playoff, (1) Simi Valley Kings defeated (4) Oslo Mastodon 10-2, and (2) Moscow Red Army tied (3) Nebraska Buffalo 6-6.
Invoking the First Rule of Tiebreaking: The team with the better Head-to-Head versus record for the season will be declared the winner.
(2) Moscow Red Army tied (3) Nebraska Buffalo Period 3 (Oct 14-20, 2019) Moscow - 3, Nebraska - 9[W] Period 14 (Dec 30-Jan 5, 2020) Nebraska - 9[W], Moscow - 3
Nebraska is declared the winner based on a Head-to-Head Regular Season record of 2-0.
This leaves the 2019 Wuest Memorial Final to be between (1) Simi Valley Kings and (3) Nebraska Buffalo!
