a) Players on your MINOR roster do not accumulate fantasy points for you in the Dynasty League. The MINOR roster's main purpose is to give you a place to "store" players you like, but that aren't producing enough statistics at the NHL level for you to have them on your MAJOR roster.
b) A player may be promoted/demoted between the MAJORS and MINORS by making a post in the Transactions board in the Roster Moves section. Here, list any players being Promoted, and any players being Demoted. You can make a maximum of 3 transactions per week on the League page (Promotions or Demotions/IR Replacements).
c) At the beginning of every season, a player that was on either of your rosters the previous year, and has at least 41 Career NHL Regular Season games played (or 25 for goalies) will have their service time clock started, if it hasn't already. Service clocks only start/advance at the beginning of a season.
d) EL Players are kept for a maximum of 5 full seasons, which begins when an EL Player's service clock starts, as defined in Rule c). Even if you send the player back to the MINORS, the 5 year clock will still continue. After the player has accumulated 5 full seasons of service, he will become a free agent at the end of that season.
e) EL Players do not count towards your cap hit until being called up for the first time. Salaries are determined by the following list, in relation to when their service clock started:
less than 1 year of service: $0
at least 1 year of service but less than 2: $1
at least 2 years of service but less than 3: $2
at least 3 years of service but less than 4: $5
at least 4 years of service but less than 5: $8
at least 5 years of service but less than 6: $12
f) EL Players may be released (called an EL Release) at any time to avoid paying them any further salary, or to open up a Roster Slot. The player's salary is erased from the owning team's payroll immediately (even during the season), and that player immediately becomes a Free Agent, who is open for bidding by any manager, including the one who just released him. Any player that was previously EL Released and re-signed in this manner becomes a TERM Player, and does not use the above salary chart.
