a) Each team is allotted a budget of $275 in total funds per season. This is how much money each team has available to them for spending on players at any point of the season (i.e. during bidding, as well as during the season and into next season). Roster Payroll is the combined salary of all players eligible for a salary in a given season, and this figure must be equal to or less than the Total Funds figure in the current season. A team's Roster Payroll may exceed their Total Funds figure of a future season, but must become financially compliant by the start of the start of a new active season. If this has not been done, that team will be locked and will forfeit every matchup until they are compliant or the Commissioner will take steps to make the team financially compliant (usually in the form of an EL Release).
b) Unspent salary will not carry over to the next season (if you only spend $270, the remaining $5 will not allow your salary to increase to $280 in the next season).
c) Salary can be used in trades for the current, or future seasons. It will be represented on the spreadsheet by an increase or decrease on the Total Funds for those teams on the specified year(s).
d) Any one team may not have a Total Funds figure higher than the salary cap of $300 in a single season. Any trade that puts a team's Total Funds over the salary cap figure is an invalid trade.
